Association of Tennessee Valley Governments April 18 & 19, 2012 Spring Meeting in Scottsboro, Alabama

Our Spring Meeting will be held at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Scottsboro, Alabama on Wednesday afternoon, April 18th and Thursday morning, April 19th. The Comfort Inn & Suites is located at 25775 John T. Reid Pkwy, Scottsboro, Alabama.

You may make reservations directly with the hotel at (256) 259-8700 or online. When making your reservation, please identify yourself as part of the "Association of Tennessee Valley Governments" to secure a room at the rate of $75/night.

This will be a very informative meeting so please try and attend even if you are not yet a member of ATVG.

  • 1:15pm ~ TVA Update - Bob Morris (includes tour overview/instructions)
  • 1:45pm ~ Jackson County Economic Development Authority Success Story - Dus Rogers
  • 2:15pm ~ TVA Data Center Designation - Grant DeMuth (Guntersville Economic Development Director)
  • 2:45pm ~ Branding Your Community - "Creating the Positive Image" - Craig Woodward (Baker Woodward Communication)
  • 3:15pm ~ Why Natural Gas? - Presentation by America's Natural Gas Alliance
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm ATVG Business Meeting at hotel
5:30 pm - 6:45 pm Hospitality Hour at hotel
7:00 pm Depart for dinner at "The Docks" at Goose Pond (Reservations already made)
Thursday, April 19th  
8:15 am Assemble in hotel lobby for departure to Bellefonte
9:00 am - Noon Tour of Bellefonte (tour time confirmed)
Noon Lunch at plant with TVA tour

WE MUST CONFIRM TOUR NUMBERS TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE AND SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING FOR EACH VISITOR: NAME, COMPANY/ORGANIZATION, CITIZENSHIP, FULL ADDRESS AND EMAIL ADDRESS. WE MUST HAVE RECEIVED YOUR REGISTRATION AND INFORMATION BY APRIL 4, 2012.


Note: ATVG registration fee of $40 to cover hospitality and meeting cost.
